I giri in moto di Ola

Ci sono motociclisti che vivono per la velocità, altri che amano l’avventura dei lunghi viaggi, e poi ci sono quelli che trovano la magia nei piccoli dettagli della strada: una curva al tramonto, il rombo del motore che rimbalza tra le montagne, o la libertà di attraversare la natura. Ola fa parte di quest’ultima categoria. Dal primo incontro con le moto da adolescente alle attuali avventure in sella a una BMW F 900 XR e a una Triumph Scrambler 900, il suo percorso è fatto di passione, scoperta e un amore infinito per i tramonti da gustare inevitabilmente su due ruote.

– Raccontaci un po’ di te e del tuo rapporto con le moto
Ola Siweek: Mi chiamo Ola, abbreviazione di Aleksandra. Come è iniziato il mio viaggio con le moto? ...non è facile da raccontare! Penso che il primo pensiero sia arrivato quando avevo circa 12 anni ed ero passeggera con il papà del mio amico su una Harley. Ricordo di aver pensato: "Oh, lo adoro." Poi, anni dopo, stavo guidando con il mio ex-partner e ho avuto la stessa sensazione. Passarono ancora alcuni anni, ma ogni volta che vedevo motociclette sulla strada, continuavo a dirmi: "Devo guidarne una anch'io." Alla fine, l'ho semplicemente fatto: ho comprato la mia prima moto, una Yamaha Fazer 600, da un amico. Eravamo soliti chiamarla "l'aspirapolvere", è stato il mio primo amore a due ruote. Io e il mio aspirapolvere: ahahah!

– Qual è il tuo giro in moto preferito?
Ola Siweek: Uff, domanda difficile... mi è piaciuto ogni giro e ogni viaggio che ho fatto. Ma a volte nella vita, abbiamo quei momenti in cui un posto ci porta quasi alle lacrime per la sua bellezza... come la musica. Per me, ce ne sono stati tre in particolare:

Sveti Jure, Croazia: Giro al tramonto su una strada vuota attraverso bellissime montagne, con cavalli selvaggi sulla via del ritorno.
Sri Lanka: Guidare attraverso piantagioni di tè e montagne, nella natura pura.
Sa Calobra, Maiorca: Una strada piena di curve con uno dei tramonti più epici di sempre.

Una cosa che posso sicuramente dire di me: sono una fan dei tramonti, ahahah! E sono abbastanza sicura che tu possa già indovinare che tipo di paesaggio mi piace di più: montagne, strade piene di curve, natura e, naturalmente bellissimi tramonti!

– Che moto hai nel tuo garage?
Ola Siweek: Storia divertente. Non ho un garage, solo un posto auto, dove parcheggio la mia auto, la bicicletta, e la mia BMW F 900 XR. Quando sono diventata proprietaria di una seconda motocicletta (una Triumph Scrambler 900), ho chiesto ai miei vicini se potevano adottarla nel loro posto auto! La BMW è la mia amica per i lunghi viaggi, e la Triumph è più un’amica da strada/città.

– Qual è il luogo che vorresti visitare o il viaggio che sogni di fare in moto?
Ola Siweek: Ho così tanti piani nella mia testa! I prossimi viaggi che sto sognando sono il Vietnam, poi Lombok per un viaggio moto/surf, e anche l'esplorazione del Canada. Un lungo viaggio all'anno... questo è l'obiettivo!

– A cosa pensi quando indossi il casco e sali in moto?
Ola Siweek: Relax. Questa è la sensazione che provo quando metto il mio casco. Solo io e la motocicletta. Belle strade, il suono della moto, il vento, e la natura.

– Quale modello o tipologia di moto preferisci?
Ola Siweek: Quando viaggio per brevi gite, noleggio motociclette per provarle. Ognuna dà un'esperienza diversa, ed è fantastico. La posizione di guida, il suono del motore, la potenza, come si sente sulla strada, come puoi manovrarla... Non ho un modello preferito, ma amo davvero la mia BMW F 900 XR. Posso guidarla nei lunghi viaggi, ma anche usarla in città, anche se è una moto un po' grande per le mie gambe da hobbit!

– La moto più bella e quella più strana che tu abbia mai guidato?
Ola Siweek: Non penso di essere la persona giusta a cui chiederlo... non ho ancora così tanta esperienza. Ma in futuro, spero di guidare più moto sportive e anche alcune vintage.

There are riders who live for speed, others who love the adventure of long journeys, and then there are those who find pure magic in the small details of the road — a curve at sunset, the sound of the engine echoing in the mountains, or the freedom of riding through nature. Ola is one of those riders. From her first encounter with motorcycles as a teenager to her current adventures on a BMW F 900 XR and a Triumph Scrambler 900, her journey is filled with passion, discovery, and an endless love for sunsets on two wheels.

- Introduce yourself and share the story of your journey into the world of motorcycles. What sparked your interest?
Ola Siweek: My name is Aleksandra, but everybody calls me Ola. About the question of how my journey with motorcycles started — that’s not an easy one, haha! I think the first thought came when I was about 12 years old and riding as a passenger with my friend’s dad on a Harley. I remember thinking, “Oh, I love this.” Then, years later, I was riding with my ex-partner and had the same feeling.
A few more years passed, but every time I saw motorcycles on the road, I kept telling myself, “I need to ride too.” Eventually, I just did it — I bought my first motorcycle, a Yamaha Fazer 600, from a friend. We used to call it the “vacuum” — it was my first moto love. Me and my vacuum, hahaha!

- Share your best recommendation for a must-visit road or destination for motorcycle enthusiasts. Why is this place so special for you?
Ola Siweek: Oof, tough question — I’ve enjoyed every ride and every trip I’ve done. But sometimes in life, we have those moments where a place brings us almost to tears because it’s so beautiful… like music. For me, there were three of them:

Sveti Jure, Croatia – Sunset ride on an empty road through beautiful mountains, with wild horses on the way back.
Sri Lanka – Riding through tea plantations and mountains, in pure nature.
Sa Calobra, Mallorca – A road full of curves with one of the most epic sunsets ever.

One thing you can definitely say about me: I’m a fan of sunsets, hahah. I’m pretty sure you can already guess what type of scenery I like most: mountains, curvy roads, nature, and of course — beautiful sunsets.

- Take us into your garage. What motorcycle is parked there, and how do you use it? Is it for short rides or your trusted companion for epic journeys?
Ola Siweek: Funny story. I don’t have a garage — just one parking spot, where I park my car, bicycle, and my BMW F 900 XR. When I became the owner of a second motorcycle (a Triumph Scrambler 900), I asked my neighbours if they could adopt it onto their parking spot, hahaha.
The BMW is my friend for long journeys, and the Triumph is more of a street/city buddy.

- Dream destinations await. If you could hop on your motorcycle and explore any place in the world, where would you go next?
Ola Siweek: So many plans in my head! The next trips I’m dreaming about are Vietnam, then Lombok for a motorcycle/surf trip, and also exploring Canada. One long trip per year — that’s the goal!

- Putting on the helmet is a ritual for every rider. What goes through your mind when you gear up, start your bike, and hit the road?
Ola Siweek: Relax — that’s the feeling I get when I put my helmet on. Just me and the motorcycle. Beautiful roads, the sound of the bike, the wind, and nature.

- Do you have a preferred motorcycle model or type? How does it contribute to improving your riding experience?
Ola Siweek: When I travel for shorter trips, I rent motorcycles to try them out.Each one gives a different experience — and that’s great. The riding position, the engine sound, the power, how it feels on the road, how you can manoeuvre it… I don’t have one favourite type, but I really love my BMW F 900 XR. I can ride it on long trips, but also use it in the city — even though it’s a bit of a big bike for my hobbit legs.

- Share the story of the coolest and/or most unconventional motorcycle you've ever had the pleasure of riding.
Ola Siweek: I don’t think I’m the right person to ask that — I still don’t have that much experience.
But in the future, I hope to ride more sports bikes and some really vintage ones too.
